Nyree Hazelton Arts Inc. features both contemporary and historical Canadian art. The gallery represents emerging young artists from Canada and internationally. Historical works range from pieces by the Group of Seven to Quebec contemporaries.
Nyree Hazelton, owner of the gallery, is a qualified consultant who advises clients on art as investment. Hazelton worked with a team of specialists on the Sotheby’s Porterhouse Project in 2007. She was in charge of pricing and due diligence of all the artworks as well as the public relations for the fundraising event and the sale of the artwork. She also specializes in Asian and Middle Eastern art markets.
Hazelton has a Masters in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art, London, University of Manchester (2008). In 2006, she earned a BA in Family Studies with a minor in Art History from the University of British Columbia. She is an avid collector of Canadian and Haida Gwaii art.
